The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World has chosen BOSE as its loudspeaker of choice for their mammoth expansion project, currently underway in Port Elizabeth.

Sun International's R1 billion investment at the Boardwalk will see this premier destination boasting a brand new smokers casino floor, and upgraded non-smoking area, a 140 room five star hotel and convention centre, and a R35million musical water fountain extravaganza.

The New Boardwalk HotelWork on the project is well under way, with the new smoking casino floor on track to open its doors early in December 2011. The hotel and convention centre are scheduled for completion in December 2012.

We at Avitech Systems are thrilled to announce our appointment as suppliers of the sound and music systems for the casino gaming floors. Due to be commissioned soon is a state-of-the-art distributed sound system featuring Biamp digital signal processing, DaVinci PC based control and a Cobranet digital audio backbone.

Bose DS40 premium loudspeakers have been installed over the gaming floors to ensure that guests enjoy rich, full-range music and promotional messages. On the gaming floors Bose Freespace loudspeaker systems will add the element of surprise and stimulation to the guests' gaming experience.

The Boardwalk Casino joins a growing list of entertainment and hospitality venues that have chosen Bose as their loudspeaker brand of choice, and are benefitting from the Bose "Better Sound By Design" experience.

Although predominantly operating in the Eastern Cape, Avitech Systems has built up a solid understanding of the unique needs of casino entertainment systems, having successfully commissioned similar installations at the Grand West Casino in Cape Town, Golden Valley Casino in Worcester, and the Hemingways Casino in East London.
